Club Rifles

We have a well stocked armoury, with club guns and club bows. The armoury also holds a range of ammunition and targets for sale.

A rental charge of £1 applies to the use of all club firearms.

Club Shop

We have a club shop which sells a variety of shooting accessories, and hold an extensive range of reloading equipment and components for sale to FAC/SGC holders only.

Ammunition, targets and shop items are competitively priced for the members.

The Grange has a total of three ranges as well as a large wooded area used for archery.  Ear defenders, safety glasses, and spotting scopes are available for use free of charge on the ranges, and there are no range fees charged.

A Range

Range A is a twenty-five metre indoor range with five firing points, and is used for smallbore rifle, gallery rifle, black powder pistol, long barreled revolver, air rifle/pistol and archery.  It has a full ventilation and air extraction system.

Additionally, A Range has a programmable turning target system.

B Range

Range B is also a twenty-five metre indoor range with another five firing points, and is again used for smallbore rifle, gallery rifle, black powder pistol, long barreled revolver, air rifle/pistol and archery.  It also has a full ventilation and air extraction system.

Additionally, B Range has ten metre shutter doors with pellet catchers and electronic returning targets for precision air pistol shooting.

C Range

Range C is a fifty metre outdoor range used for archery, rimfire, and air pistol/rifle.  It has a heated and well lit firing position building, with target illumination for use on dark winter evenings.

C Range offers nine covered firing postions with mats for prone shooting, as well as tables and chairs for bench shooting.  Additionally, it has a remote controlled 'Running Boar' type moving target system.

The Woods

Directly adjacent to the club building we have a large private wooded area used for archery. The woodland offers varying terrain and shooting distances.

The Archery section has both 2D and 3D targets available for use.
